Joola Vision Pickleball Paddle Review

An exciting review is on the go for pickleball lovers. Joola vision pickleball is a go-to paddle that one can feel comfortable with. Personally, Nowadays it’s on my favorite list of paddles and I am loving using Joola Vision. It’s amazing how technology is getting advanced for people’s comfort and ease.

Review: Playing with Joola Vision Pickleball Paddle

After 3 weeks of using it, I will rate 95 out of 100 as it is right perfect for my figure and arm movements. In other paddles, arms just get fatigued and pull your muscles offenly but the Joola paddle seems as if it is ergonomically made for me, isn’t it an amazing feature?

This pickleball displays expertise with the vision cgs 14 and 16 paddles with an arrow curved construction enhancing swing speed while reducing drag. Your shots will maintain the power and energy you deliver.

Overall weight is an average of 7.8 ounces.

Piddle Joola’s vision met us with exquisite specifications and descriptions that surprised me on the spot and helped me pick it without a second thought.

Here it is,

Paddle Weight – 7.8 oz

Paddle Width- 7 3/10”

First Sight (7/10)

The vision series is sure to satisfy your need for power and control. It comes first in a very unique packaging. It appears in a black zipper curved shape bag with a beautiful yellow logo design pictured on the top frontal of the bag and right below JOOLA has written. The first look of the carry bag was quite appealing and soothing for me, and it feels like the investment in this paddle is worth enough.

Now after opening the bag, the paddle with Its top explains the shape of the aero curve which is very noticeable and so to reduce friction and increase your aerodynamics as you swing through the air. The paddle also embraces the details as it was in the bag, a white color enlarged logo with the same mini logo of yellow color in the bottom.

The core is going to be the poly core discussed above. The surface is a carbon grip surface, super great, and grasps with a spin texture as much as I desired for the spinny attribute. The shape projects a very slight taper and is more aggressive as you swing through the court.

One of my favorite things about the first impression is it has an elongated handle to attain maximum control with complete access and extra room for the main hand or even to bring off their offhand for a two-handed backhand which is beneficial for the game.

My first experience of play (8/10)

I played, and yes I got real content and satisfaction. Now read more to know the reasons;

On my first exposure to play, the grip at the bottom is a perforated ridge grip so a lot of texture there. It helped me better hold well and be comfortable too with appropriate Ergonomics.

The surface of carbon was pretty much on par with the carbon friction surface. It made it easy to swing and ohhh I was surprised by how much it moved easier in every hit burdening my elbows which I actually loved a lot. The grip helped me in every spin like if you want fast spin, side spin, or topspin, this paddle will go perfectly.

Weight and Power (9/10)

The added weight and power really make me feel that I have a whole control over my shots and it actually made me feel easy to hit every shit and it’s a great all-court paddle. It’s a power that I love to play with and it is something that is easily adapted to.

Build quality ( 7/10)

I can easily find the building quality of any product, let’s move to Joola vision building quality. As I played roughly in the first month and the other three months were very precautioned for me, the first month’s result coupled with building quality hit on the fourth month as I continued playing it. The quality in comparison to other paddles was really good but the scuff marks started to show on the paddle face where the ball hit the most.

Other than scuff marks, I actually did not face any other lack of durability as it is enough durable to use. Although the paddle handle is glued on average most of the paddles, meaning that it’s not one solid piece as same as the Legacy Pro. However, I live in the Warmer area so I notice more flex in the paddle around the grip area but not this much maximizing to interfere with my performance. So it was a good experience with the building quality, as I missed it in the first month and still I  did not get any harmful, disadvantageous repercussions waste my investment.

Spin (9/10):

Exclusively, this paddle is specialized for its spin property so of course its spin will be the mind-blowing feature and so it proved to be the mind-blowing one for me. It spins so great that I even sometimes don’t need to insert my all energy in just a single shot which helps me preserve my energy. I have currently used many paddles but all of them required a great amount of kinetic energy while slamming the shot, which was very exhausting and interfered with the game either on a basic level or professional level.

Joola did not disappoint me in the spin feature and goes with a perfect spin with the ease of my hands and elbows. Thank god I found something with enough spin to give a better performance without getting overtired.

Speed test:

I conducted a speed test on the Joola Vision pickleball paddle and the procedure was,

I minimum slam 10 shots on the go and the test concluded as multiple MPH speed.

Hit 1 showed 47 Mph speed.

Hit 2 showed a 47 MPH speed

Hit 3 showed a 44 MPH speed

Hit 4 showed a 46 MPH speed

Hit 5 showed a 48 MPH speed

Hit 6  showed a 49 MPH speed

Hit 7 showed a 47 MPH speed

Hit 8 showed a 47 MPH speed

Hit 9 showed a 47 MPH speed

Hit 10 showed a 44 MPH speed

For me, the result was enough to expect and desirable to play games at any level.

Joola Vision CGS 14 vs CGS 16 paddles

Joola CGS 14 and CGS 16 differences are 14 is thinner and lighter whereas 16 is heavier. CGS 14 is 14mm whereas CGS 16 is 16mm CGS 14 is easy to spin so I will recommend 14 for beginners as it is lighter and so easy to hit for you people who have their startup. The spin potential is more in line with the CFS series.16 mm has more power than 14 mm when I tested this

So from the baseline, I was able to hit some really deep serves, get some really good shots in, and then at the kitchen I was able to get some power smashes down on the court.

Well, my choice of the two paddles is the 16 millimeter because of the power it offers I did find the handle circumference to be a bit uncomfortable for me since I typically play with the gearbox. On the other hand, the 14 mm does have the smaller handle circumference which was much more comfortable for me. It also has a really good touch at the kitchen but from the baseline, I was really struggling to find my rhythm to hit deep serves and to hit deep returns to the baseline.

Joola Vision Compared to the Hyperion CFS

Ben Johns was seen in a recent tournament sporting a paddle without the Ben Johns signature. What happened with the Hyperion lineup that would warrant a switch-up for Benny?

Enter, the Joola Vision. A 16mm paddle much like the Hyperion CFS he’s been using for some time now. Although the differences are small, let’s see if this paddle follows the same path of failure as most of the Joola lineup using the raw T700 surfaces.

Compared to the Hyperion CFS

HyperionVision
Weight8.68 oz7.8 oz
Dimensions
– Length16.409″16.360″
– Width7.419″7.280″
– Total23.828″23.640″

Thankfully Joola looks like it has a winner here. The surface on this paddle had a much more consistent lower return on the Starrett test compared to the Radius that claims to be using the same. As we know, the Radius didn’t pass our test, so I was expecting this one to mirror that result. However, it looks like they manufactured the surface differently, despite the name. If you pull out the magnifying glass you can see the strands are spread apart further and are not as crowded as the same view on the Radius and Solaire. Hmm. Hopefully, Benny sticks to the Vision paddle, as I personally cannot recommend the Hyperion CFS to anyone based on my own Starrett results.

The Denouement of My Thoughts

Finalizing the article with the recommendation of a 16mm Joola vision paddle with more durability and authenticity. Pick the good review and so pick the good pickleball paddle.
